Ann R. Shapiro studied under Joseph Wolins and has taken classes at the Art Students League, School of Visual Arts, City College Graduate Center, and the National Academy among others.
Artist statement
The underlying theme in my work is the environmental influence on our planet. I am a landscape artist whose principal theme is climate change Although living in NYC, the landscape of my formative years of Maine and New Hampshire are foundational to my work. Digital drawing, collage, and oil painting are my primary media.
