Practice & background
Multidisciplinary artist Voyo Woo expands traditional paper cutting into sculpture, performance and participatory installation. Her practice brings nature, technology and bodily experience together while considering how art can support connection and coexistence.
The Seventh Dimension Project is an interactive prototype combining a MUSE EEG headband, paper lotus, projection and sound. Participants enter a paper meditation garden, with physiological signals contributing to generated messages. Woo developed it with a team of collaborators.
Woo holds an MA in Curatorial Studies in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and has a background in television production. She received a 2025 New Jersey State Council on the Arts fellowship in sculpture and has exhibited at Montclair Art Museum, Sotheby’s New York and the White House Visitor Center.
