Zhenya Glorka founded the clothing brand glorka. Her official account traces its beginning to learning to make loose-fitting pants from a friend in 2012, initially giving pieces as gifts before developing collections.
Loose cuts and fabric choices relate clothing to bodily movement, yoga, meditation and gatherings. The brand emphasizes handcraft, collaboration and giving back. Its garments invite questions about makers, use and how value is created.
Amrita University documents a 2018–2021 collaboration with AMMACHI Labs involving tailoring instruction, co-developed designs and orders with women’s groups in rural India. The practice therefore encompasses design, skill exchange and livelihoods.
