10' x 12' x 4', Steel, Gloves, Goggles, 2015 This work was made while there were two cases of Ebola in Mali. The text that is burned through the steel panels follows the form of the microscopic virus. It burned thru the panels comes from news reports about the progression of the virus in Mali. The panels follow the medical and political progress of the disease. The installation also includes protective clothing- gloves and goggles. They are inexpensive and crucial in fighting the disease yet were unavailable to early responders in West Africa. This caused unnecessary deaths. Fortunately, Ebola never entered the general population in Mali.
