About the work
Hinged sculptural steel books with movable pages, pieced and pierced by imagery and text, result in varying degrees of transparency through made of steel. One of the formal challenges of the books is to have distinct and powerful pages which the viewer can see thru to "read" the following pages. The books are playful layered, steel collages constructed from my own scrap steel. They have ranged in size from small indoor tabletop/bookshelf size to large outdoor sculptural installations including fences and gates
