Into the Woods

About the work

This piece was 'inspired' by the prevalence of tick-borne diseases in my hometown. The daily routine of walking my dog has become a ritual of combing, grooming, and tick picking. The ticks in this installation were found on myself and my dog. Ticks were collected between May 12 - July 26, 2009.
