- In June of 1989 student-led demonstrations for democracy and free speech held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing were forcibly put down brutally by the Chinese government in what can only be described as a massacre. PS 1 MoMA had an exhibit of individually painted doors by artists arranged to form a maze. Each door could be seen from the front and the back. Acrylic on wood door 80" x 30"
