About the work

Ceramic wall piece 19x10x1 1/2in 2014 I have been fascinated with maps and mapping since I was a young child traveling cross country with my grandmother on a greyhound bus. Stopping along the way from Miami to NYC and across the continent to see prairies and the canyons of our national parks, the highest mountains of Colorado and finally the secret grottos of the outgoing tides along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. All these elements are in the ceramic series of Maps.
