About the work
The wetlands provide shelter not just to the wildlife and fish that inhabit it but to the environment as a whole. The salt marshes in particular provide shelter, food, and spawning grounds to a variety of fish species. As the warming sea rises it loses the nutrients essential for the fish and wildlife.
