Biography
Langlands & Bell is the British artist duo Ben Langlands and Nikki Bell. They began collaborating in 1978 while studying at Middlesex Polytechnic. Their work spans sculpture, installation, film, digital media, prints and architecture.
Their practice examines how buildings and systems of communication shape relationships between people. Following an Imperial War Museum commission in Afghanistan, they developed The House of Osama bin Laden, bringing field observations into an interactive digital environment. The project received a BAFTA for interactive arts installation in 2004.
