About the work

Here I tell the story of my reunion with my biological mother (1992), not having seen her since the age of 8. Setting the reunion picture before the Alice in Wonderland bronzes in Central Park harks back to my earlier image, which I cast as an Alice in Wonderland Fantasy, in recognition of my mother having made a present of that book to me the last time I saw her as a child.
